Tools

Once your client is connected, it can see and call these tools. You don’t call them by name yourself. You ask in plain language, and the client picks the right one.

Your account

  • session_whoami: reports who the connection is acting as, so you can confirm a key is linked to the right account.
  • organization_stats: a quick roll-up of your account: invoices sent, revenue collected, and how many contacts you have.

Contacts

  • contacts_create: adds a client or a vendor.
  • contacts_list: lists your contacts. You can narrow it to clients or vendors, or search by name.

Invoices

  • invoices_create: creates a draft invoice with line items. If the client isn’t in your contacts yet, it’s added for you.
  • invoices_get: retrieves a single invoice, by number or ID.
  • invoices_list: lists your invoices filtered by status, so you can ask for what’s outstanding or what’s overdue.
  • invoices_update: updates a draft: line items, tax, notes, due date, or PO number.
  • invoices_transition: moves an invoice forward. Send it, mark it paid once you’ve confirmed payment, or void it.

Analytics

  • analytics_business_health: this month’s money at a glance: cash received, what you’re owed and what’s overdue, the bills you owe, and your net position (cash in minus cash out). Ask things like “am I ahead this month” or “what’s my net position.”
  • analytics_client_insights: who your best clients are and how they pay: segments, on-time versus late, top clients by revenue, and which good clients have gone quiet. Depth follows your plan, same as the dashboard.
Ask, don't invoke

You never type these tool names. You say something like “send Acme’s invoice” or “what’s overdue,” and your client works out which tool to call and with what.

Frequently asked questions

What can Wrenbase's MCP tools do?
Once connected, a client can create, edit, send, retrieve, and void invoices, list overdue invoices, mark invoices paid, create and list payment links, confirm who a key acts as, and pull a daily brief of what needs your attention.
Do I have to call the MCP tools by name?
No. You never type the tool names. You say something like "send Acme's invoice" or "what should I deal with today," and your client works out which tool to call and with what.
What does the daily brief tool give me?
The daily_brief tool is a one-shot summary of what needs your attention: cash outstanding, overdue receivables, pending decisions, and the top few things to handle first.
